Where different threads come together

Off, for a bit

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted and it will be some time before I post again.

I am going away for a bit, from this blog. There are things going on that I cannot write about, and writing about other things will be disrespectful of the situation, and a disservice to myself.

I hope this New Year is good for you, that the new Hijrah brings my Muslim brothers and sisters greater peace and joy, and the Year of the Rat brings us all prosperity and happiness, whichever animal’s moon we were born under.

I leave you with a gentle reminder to pay heed to your instincts, for it is very true that your subconscious often divines the truth a lot earlier and a lot quicker than the self that’s exposed to the noise, talk and currents of the “real world”.

Take care now.

Do the Rights Thing

“Where, after all, do universal human rights begin? In small places, close to home -- so close and so small that they cannot be seen on any map of the world. Yet they are the world of the individual person: the neighborhood he lives in; the school or college he attends; the factory, farm or office where he works.” Eleanor Roosevelt

Where Different Threads Come Together

Not at all sewing-related (Eliza can't sew a hemline to save her life), The Haberdashery is where Eliza runs to, when her assortment of thoughts threatens to overwhelm her. You are welcome to stay but watch out for the tangles. And the pins. Stubborn threads: Books and Writing. The Haberdashery is currently operated out of Malaysia, Eliza's beloved homeland.
